Our house
Our house dates from 1840 and belonged to wine growers. It is situated at the side of the River Berre and is accessed by a big iron gate which leads to a shaded terraced garden. In the shade of the fig trees you can relax and escape from the heat of the day.
You enter the house by our characteristic and comfortable sitting room, which breaths the atmosphere of the rural Corbières and has at the same time a certain Parisian charm. Around the long wooden table you can enjoy the delicious regional products and culinary creations of Cornelis and talk and drink as long as you want. When it cools down in the evening the fireplace will be lit. We can also make a fire outside.
On the first floor are three double bedrooms. On the second floor are also three double bedrooms and four single rooms. In the house are numerous paintings from C. Blum and other contemporary artists. The library offers a selection of world literature, both in the Dutch language as in French, German and English. Exhibitions and concerts will be held on a regular basis in our gallery space (100 m²). There haven been made several changes.
